Forward

Some of us, as leaders, go through a series of purpose-expressions, a series of careers, as we grow, learn and become more and more of who we are meant  to be.  Others find one avenue immediately after high school or college and stay with that one expression of their vision throughout much of their life. Whichever path you follow is yours, not right or wrong, just yours..

The one core truth we learn, however, is that whatever path we choose, there will be a continuous series of opportunities for growth or stagnation. For living our truth or being in self-betrayal. Choosing leadership, consciously or otherwise, requires that we be ready to grow in order to deal with all the challenges, opportunities, and expansions that happen as our vision takes on a life of its own. That choosing can support compassion, understanding, and a greater leadership skill as those around us go through their process as well.

As leaders, we are challenged at times to decide if we are ready or even want to grow to that next level, to lead at that level, to become even more of who we are.

If you are human, you will at times want to stop, to breath, to reconsider your choices. That is never a failing, or a weakness, rather it is an amazing gift you give yourself. When you have grown significantly, or when it is time to grow significantly,  stopping to catch up with yourself, to integrate all that is happening, is a smart and solid way of strengthening your foundation, your connection to your Spirit,  to your purpose, and to you.

Use these articles as a means to do that.

A Life Well-Lived

Here we are, in the midst of winter, snow, and Covid. Just another day of living in New England… My virtual assistant reminds me to do the newsletter, several potential new clients need a half-hour introduction session, I need to do my work-out routine, and the emails keep piling up.  Just another day in the life of a very blessed…

New Year’s Day It Is

By Articles, Blog, Energy, Mental Health, Mindset

In spite of some fears, we have made it. It’s New Year’s Day. The beginning of a new, or the continuation of an old, way of life. This past week, between Christmas and New Year’s, is my time to reevaluate my values, my focus, and my way of living day-by-day.  Some parts I will continue, some parts I will discontinue….

Thanksgiving Is Only the Warmup

By Articles, Blog, Mental Health, Mindset

The holidays bring out great excitement and great joy in many of us. Not surprisingly, they also bring out great dread. In speaking with a business associate the other day, he said “Family is why I moved over 900 miles away.” Someone said to me today “I dread this vacation idea – it’s work. It is not my idea of…

Giving Thanks

By Articles, Blog, Energy, Health, Leadership, Mindset

My guess is that this week you will be receiving an endless number of notices in your emails, FB, and so on, about giving thanks. Most you will simply delete or bypass because there is so much else to do. Taking time to read them can be too distracting from your packed schedule. I understand completely. The objective, really, is…

What Do You See?

By Articles, Blog, Energy, Leadership, Mindset

This week I have had repeated conversations with a variety of folks, clients, family, and associates. Different specifics but the same message. Please listen…….   What you put out into the world through your expectations/attitude is what you will receive. If your glass is half or ¾ empty, there is a reason. If your glass is half or ¼ full there…

Why?

By Articles, Blog, Energy, Leadership

Have you ever had one of those days where “WHY” seems to be your most basic question?  WHY am I in this profession? WHY is it so hard? So boring? So endless? So redundant? I would say if you are human, you have had that day at least once, if not much more…. When we spend time looking at our…
