Happy Sunday to you….  What an exciting time to be alive. As many of you know, change to me implies freedom. Freedom from the past, no matter how wonderful or horrible it was, freedom from old beliefs because they often don’t fit where we are going or where we have just arrived, and freedom from how you saw yourself.

I was just listening to Brene Brown talk about change and her desire for it yet her resistance to it. Just before that I was doing a live show with an old friend, Mary Jones, on Real Women Changing the World and giving up being “nice.” A big, big change for many. It is hard to give up a behavior that is governed by a belief that you were taught as a young child. Even a belief that may be destructive to you.

All of this comes from an illusion that where/who we are is either right or wrong – good or bad… What if we gave up those terms and said instead that: “Where I was yesterday fit who I was yesterday. However, as I keep changing, growing, and evolving, new ideas, beliefs, and behaviors will naturally evolve as well.”? Then change doesn’t mean a judgment of the “Old” just an acceptance of the ‘New.”

When, as a motivational speaker, I spoke on following your dreams, I was calling people to become even more yet through the filter of following their dreams. It was perfect for where I was in my life and perfect for those who had their dreams as a filter they needed permission to follow. Not good or bad just where we all were at that time.

Now as a speaker on leadership and health, (mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually) I am still calling others to follow their dreams, just specifically dreams of effective and expansive leadership. That not only changes their approach to life, it impacts their approach to their business, their relationships, and their own inner world. Everything changes and yet nothing has changed – just the energetics and focus behind the message. Simple yet powerful.

It happens readily when you become aware that everything is energetic. With an adjusted type of energy put into following your dreams, to living your life, your leadership, and your own evolution, you begin to experience the shifts of energetic variance, the lightness, freedom, and unlimitedness of change that you are capable of. You will begin to see that your future and your present are only limited by your view of them.

In my current online Women in Transition Group, one woman was so dissatisfied with a national organization she belongs to that she is now going to start her own national organization. “Me??? I never imagined.”  Well, once she imagined it, VOILA! With my and the group’s support she can nail it! Another is now open to expanding her work to the national level versus state. “How?” She addressed her fear, took a deep breath, and then saw herself in the role. The freedom of making a shift can generate what feels like massive change… Try it yourself or let me try it with you – to freedom, excitement, and a new evolution….
