I was reading a few things on Facebook this morning and one thought came to mind; how overwhelmingly busy we all can be when we are trying to “do it all.” “Be it all.” And/or “Know it all.” We can’t, we aren’t, and it is impossible…

Acknowledge that when your presence, your personality, and/or your energy field, say’s “I AM” the world hears you. It hears that you have a sense of who you are and that you are here to make a difference, and to be seen. I agree that it puts a lot of responsibility on you but nowhere near the massive amount of responsibility you may try to take on.

Response – ability simply says: “I know how to respond, not react, to all the things that take place in my life.”  NOWHERE does it say: “It is my responsibility to take on all things as mine, and all people, and all problems, all pain, all confusion.” NOWHERE does it say that…

As a matter of fact, in order to be able to respond well, you must know what to ignore – no matter what the kids say it is not crisis that the cereal ran out – they can put it on the shopping list – what to prioritize – you have a 9:00 VIP meeting, and what to delegate, your assistant can do the follow-up email.

In knowing what to ignore, prioritize or delegate, you can have peace throughout your day. It is not your job or “responsibility” to rescue the world. Allow each person in your world to carry their own weight, whatever that is. It is a gift of self-esteem you are giving them. Yes, in times of great difficulty a hand-up helps but carrying. them doesn’t. People develop faith in themselves when they know they can handle whatever comes their way – allow others to learn that about themselves – co-workers, employees, and family members.

The end result: there is room for you in your life. With a far slower and less burdened lifestyle, I can reasonably ask you:

How frequently do you become aware of how your energy is doing?????? How frequently do you consider whether you are excited, depressed, passionate, tired, feeling lost, or perfectly at peace?

Give yourself the gift of self-awareness. Stop, sense where you are, what is happening within, and then nurture that beautiful soul so that you get to experience your life as much as others do.

Develop response-ability for you. It is the greatest gift you can give yourself as you walk this exquisite journey of life.  Make sure you consciously walk in awareness of you, it’s the greatest gift you are bringing to others.
