In the world of business, we do our best to stay on top of what is happening in our industry. We research trends and changes, and the issues, pain points, and desires of our ideal clients. One of the items so many seem to forget to assess however is the energy they put out into the world they are trying to impact or change.
Energy works in the strangest and most amazing of ways.
I have been writing of my changes in my living location, furniture, (what’s old and has seen its day, what is too large for the next house etc.), and a rebranding that is so very exciting. What also is changing as both a byproduct and cause of this, is my approach to life. Simplifying, letting go, and bringing in more “down time.” All that’s about me.
What isn’t, is that in changing my energy, in changing how I am walking in the world, in a state of transition, a state of excitement and fear, as well as anticipation, what I am drawing to me are folks who are also changing how they are walking in the world, in a state of anticipated transition, or a desire for transition, and wanting support in making that happen. Positive energy attracts the same, faith-driven energy attracts the same, as does transition and so forth.
What energy are you putting out into the world you are trying to change or impact?
Does your energy match your spoken goals? Are you searching for explorers while sticking close to your desk?
Are you looking for risk takers while playing it safe?
Are you looking for people with ambition and drive who are planners yet innovators, while you fly by the seat of your pants?
Know that like attracts like.
Whatever you are putting out there comes back. Anger brings anger. Joy brings joy. Adventure brings adventure. Taking risks will bring in clients who are desiring to take risks with you. Many want to get there vicariously and then when they feel safe jump on the fast-moving train you are directing. It means you have to live in that truth, not simply go there when you are “on.” They sense the difference, even if they don’t consciously realize it.
Do the work needed to really experience your life, and to experience you and your goals, your ambitions, and your dreams. You can’t simply think about them, that energy is neutral. Your actions call others to take actions and call you, to invest in you, and in what you are offering. Live in awareness of the energy you are bringing into the world. It is the energy you will be bringing back to you through your clients, customers, and even vendors and support staff.
For me, if you think change is exciting, scary, and fantastic, all in one, call me. I am clearly living in that energy and so aren’t the new coaching clients coming forward who want major changes in their lives, and their industry, as well as their joy. A desire for greater freedom is leading them as they leave industries that are holding them back, that aren’t what they thought, and that have no room for their dreams and who they want to be.
