As a speaker and/or coach, I am frequently asked to be a guest on a podcast, TV or radio show, or to be part of a summit. This year I was blessed to be a part of a summit sponsored by Alison Palmer, and her Full Circle Women organization.

As a woman who has worked to support both men and women in business and in life for decades, it was a delight to be a part of her event. Only today when my Virtual Assistant, Starr, and I were talking about the hundreds of women who listened to my interview and then asked for a copy of my Ebook Own Your Leadership did it strike me that the name of the Summit was: Crones, Hags & Elder Wise Women of Power – Summit 2022.

We both laughed with joy as she said, “with all the summits you have done, you clearly have now found your audience”.  Me, who continuously feels 45, and feels so blessed with what is generally great health, can now own that I also am blessedly, one of the Wise Women of Power, Crones, Hags, and Elders. I just love life. I love humor and I certainly love honoring the many stages of life we have all passed through, myself included. So many joke about being “old” and “old of touch” whether they are 50 or even less. What a gift it is…

Crone, Hag, and Elder can be used in a derogatory way, or they can be recognized as terms that refer to wise women who have learned so much along their journey of life. They are independent women who have created a lifestyle and wisdom circle that best supports who they are and who they choose to be.

Wisdom is a gift available to all of us if we choose to acquire it as we go through the many turmoils of life. We can come through these experiences, embittered, as an illusionary victim, filed with “justifiable” rage, or simply as one who has learned what could be learned in the challenges, fears, and agreements made with ourselves and others while learning so much about his or herself rather than focusing on the “other” whether an illness, a financial difficulty, a business challenge, or more.

The choice of wisdom, rather than reaction, opens up a world of confidence, insight, objectivity, pure passion, and an appreciation for life and the world because you come to see things as they are versus how you need or want them to be.

I wish immense wisdom for each of you.  Plus, what a gift to have all this and still feel 45…
