In a recent webinar that I watched from the Global Wellness Institute, there was a great deal of talk about the trends taking place in health care and wellness. Two major trends revolve around first, gut health as being the precursor to health or dis-ease. It is expected that more and more online videos for maintaining or reclaiming our health will be produced to support the general population realizing the impact of what they eat on their health. Major trends are coming in moving away from the mindset of disease prevention to a mindset of wellness enhancement.

In the past, the focus of medical care and even medical education has been primarily on fighting or preventing disease. Rather than focusing on disease as the lowest common denominator, our focusing on wellness, emotionally, spiritually and physically, raises our energetic vibration and calls us to think positively. It is a simple yet powerful shift to help us live our lives  in a healthy, lively, mindset with disease being an afterthought if it occurs at all.

The second major trend in health care is spiritualty. As odd as that may seem to some, I have spent over 25 years focusing on the reality that all dis-ease begins on the spiritual level. As a result, it makes perfect sense to me that spirituality would finally be one of the major trends. I was a pioneer in the field and it seems that life and the general population are finally catching up if I do say so myself….

When we live in deeper awareness of our bodies, we know when things feel off energetically and also when we feel energetically fully alive and vibrant. One is a state of dis-ease which eventually leads to disease if not rectified and the other supports our wellness on all levels. When we sink to a place where life is a burden to carry or a struggle to be won, we are putting ourselves into a spiritual belief system that creates negative emotional response and ultimately physical disease.

When we live in a belief that life happens for us and not to us, we begin to see everything in our lives as a period of growth and/or thriving. We recognize that as embodied souls we are all here to make this world a better place in our own unique way and to become everything we are capable of becoming. There are no limits unless we create them or choose to accept those others choose to put on us.

Notice however, that those who follow their own dreams support you fully in following yours, whatever they are. It is those afraid of following their own dreams who call you to be frightened of yours as well. They will call you to think small rather than acknowledge that if you can dream it, you can create it; you simply need to pay the price and it is usually one that requires taking risks and leaving your comfort zone…

My wish for you this week, is that you see the gift of life for what it is, that you discover all the blessings in your world, even those provided by Covid. We are truly blessed, at times that may be a challenge to see, but a challenge that can readily be overcome if we are willing to see the glory in front of us. Our overall health becomes the reward and the adventure.
