An exciting and awe inspiring modality of health care that has been practiced for thousands of years in other parts of the world, energy is only now becoming, albeit gradually, a known reality in this country. What is happening also, and perhaps what is supporting this awakening, is that the field is becoming progressively more diverse. Energy as an accepted medical reality is demonstrated through the use of the EKG and the EEG. What we have learned through the world of Energy Medicine However is that energy is present throughout our system and is actually generated every time we move a muscle, blink an eye, our heart beats, or an organ functions. Every thought we have, every feeling, every emotion is an energetic reality. How we use those thoughts etc., whether we allow them to flow, or block them through fear, judgment or negation, impacts our energy field. Because of the multi-dimensionally realities involved, emotionally, physically and spiritually, in this self-acceptance, and the many levels and types of energy flows which exist within and around us, a wide variety of approaches to treatment and health maintenance exist. With all of this, the memories, the warmth, the reconnections, I am so aware that being found again by what really is extended family, truly is a coming home to a self I had forgotten in some ways, to dreams lost, while realizing that the road we each walked was the one we chose, the one we created, either as a response or a reaction to the outside world, or as an evolution of who we chose to become.
