I saw a line the other day that said: “you can’t see it outside of you, if you don’t see it inside of you.” I have seen that many times but for some reason it struck me this time. It said so much.

I have told clients and patients for years that the best part of following in love is that it calls you to fall in love with yourself as well. The irony is that in falling in love with someone else you come to see that you match them in joy, peace, passion for life, new experiences, etc. It brings out of you a part of you that you have been dying to feel, to celebrate again. It is as if he or she gives you permission to fully be alive when in fact it is you that became willing to be so alive. As a result, you jumped in and Voila! Love is everywhere.

The same goes for business. We have been told for years that we will resonate at the level of the 5 closest people in our life. If you spend a lot of time with people who don’t go for it because life is too hard, too much of a struggle, or for “the other guy” then your higher self, your “go for it” attitude, is greatly impacted. If you spend your time with folks who are going for it, who are working, mentoring, getting mentored, etc. then your ambition, your joy in the fun of the game is fed and you flourish.

If the conditions of the world right now have you up at night, filled with rage, panic, or hopelessness, look at the news you have been watching, the political conversations you have been having, and the people you have chosen to have them with. It is all mirroring those aspects inside of you.  Your own rage, panic, and hopelessness is being stimulated. Surround yourself with folks not in denial but who live in a world of hope, joy, and faith. Working towards your vision for your life, your town, your state, or your country makes you an active participant in creating the future you want.

Finally, when you look at the various stages in your life when everything seemed to be in flow, versus those stages when it felt like nothing was flowing, what was the difference? What do you see? Were you actively involved with a clear focus and joy in the movement versus being lost in feelings of stagnation, hopelessness, or struggle?

What you see is governed so much by the stories you tell yourself, the folks you bring into your life, and the experiences you are willing to create. Your outside circumstances can change and shift repeatedly, however, we all have the ability if we choose, to maintain one perspective, one fall back outlook if we want. We may leave it on occasion, welcome to humanity, but if the perspective is based on a love of live, a belief that life is a gift versus a struggle, and that hope and faith can cause miracles, then what you will be seeing is everything you need to be fed, emotionally, spiritually, and psychically.  You will recognize the more difficult moments as temporary, and the glorious moments as your gift to yourself. Gifts you deserve.  Examine what you are seeing and what you are doing to feed that. Give yourself the best vision possible….
