Forward

Some of us, as leaders, go through a series of purpose-expressions, a series of careers, as we grow, learn and become more and more of who we are meant  to be.  Others find one avenue immediately after high school or college and stay with that one expression of their vision throughout much of their life. Whichever path you follow is yours, not right or wrong, just yours..

The one core truth we learn, however, is that whatever path we choose, there will be a continuous series of opportunities for growth or stagnation. For living our truth or being in self-betrayal. Choosing leadership, consciously or otherwise, requires that we be ready to grow in order to deal with all the challenges, opportunities, and expansions that happen as our vision takes on a life of its own. That choosing can support compassion, understanding, and a greater leadership skill as those around us go through their process as well.

As leaders, we are challenged at times to decide if we are ready or even want to grow to that next level, to lead at that level, to become even more of who we are.

If you are human, you will at times want to stop, to breath, to reconsider your choices. That is never a failing, or a weakness, rather it is an amazing gift you give yourself. When you have grown significantly, or when it is time to grow significantly,  stopping to catch up with yourself, to integrate all that is happening, is a smart and solid way of strengthening your foundation, your connection to your Spirit,  to your purpose, and to you.

Use these articles as a means to do that.

The Gift Of Resilience

By Mindset

Resilience is a trait many of us know about, some of us have developed, and still others may have discarded as useless or perhaps not an important or necessary skill. However, every one of us has gone through experiences that have knocked us on our butts. Whether personal or professional, divorce, job loss, bankruptcy, serious illness, or a forced major…

The Many Sides of Vulnerability

By Blog, Leadership, Mindset

Even with the many books, articles, podcasts, and Ted talks, concerning vulnerability, for so many it is still seen as a fragile time, if not a weakness, to be hidden or protected from so that the “enemy” doesn’t jump when you are most incapable of protecting yourself. Rather, what if that concept, that understanding, was only one sad if not…

Dealing With Confrontation

By Blog, Mindset

Confrontation occurs in all relationships that have an investment in long-term connections. That sounds like a wild assertion, nonetheless, it is true. The greatest value is in seeing that confrontation is a glorious, even if at times uncomfortable, way to truly understand another person.   The first, and I believe most important, distinction is to separate the idea of conflict from…

State of Being

By Articles, Blog, Business Leadership, Mindfulness, Mindset

For many of us, there is a belief (or illusion) that when we are truly present our mood, energy, and focus is dependent upon, or greatly impacted by, the many interruptions, individuals, and circumstances that come our way on a moment-to-moment basis. I am here to say that is not at all the truth.  We are so powerful that every…

What Energy Do You Send Out?

By Energy

Many of us grew up with the message not to talk about Sex, Religion, or Politics in public. At the moment, I am staying away from all three. I have strong opinions on each yet not my topic…  Spirituality, however, is a whole other subject. Spiritual beliefs, our understanding of how the world works and how we fit in it,…

Does Intimacy Scare You?

By Mindset

Although I have been on several boards, as president of some, I have been on the board of one particular organization since its beginning.  We had a board meeting this week to discuss an upcoming event for 2025. The title Awakening was quickly approved since it efficiently tells the viewer what the event will be about. The sub-title, however, is…

The Culture Within Us

By Transformation

We read or hear a lot about culture within the organization. Is it employee centered? Customer centered? Profit centered? Service centered? And so on. The organizations we work in, or have founded, usually reflect a great deal about who we are as a founder, or what we are willing to tolerate as an employee, whether we realize it or not….
