Forward

Some of us, as leaders, go through a series of purpose-expressions, a series of careers, as we grow, learn and become more and more of who we are meant  to be.  Others find one avenue immediately after high school or college and stay with that one expression of their vision throughout much of their life. Whichever path you follow is yours, not right or wrong, just yours..

The one core truth we learn, however, is that whatever path we choose, there will be a continuous series of opportunities for growth or stagnation. For living our truth or being in self-betrayal. Choosing leadership, consciously or otherwise, requires that we be ready to grow in order to deal with all the challenges, opportunities, and expansions that happen as our vision takes on a life of its own. That choosing can support compassion, understanding, and a greater leadership skill as those around us go through their process as well.

As leaders, we are challenged at times to decide if we are ready or even want to grow to that next level, to lead at that level, to become even more of who we are.

If you are human, you will at times want to stop, to breath, to reconsider your choices. That is never a failing, or a weakness, rather it is an amazing gift you give yourself. When you have grown significantly, or when it is time to grow significantly,  stopping to catch up with yourself, to integrate all that is happening, is a smart and solid way of strengthening your foundation, your connection to your Spirit,  to your purpose, and to you.

Use these articles as a means to do that.

Today, the first day of April, is Easter Sunday for many of the World’s Christians. It is a day of celebrating the miracle of life over death. In addition, this week is Pesach, or Passover, for the World Jewish Community; commemorating their journey and the blessings that followed. For many more still, April is a month of spiritual and/or religious…

This has been a week of early mornings and late nights revising every single page of my website. Loving every single minute of it. Preparing for Spring

By Articles, Uncategorized

With the third storm in a short period and roads closed, we are reminded that winter is meant to be that time when we slow-down, hunker up inside, and collect our thoughts while we are doing the inner-work that will come to fruition in the Spring.  For me, this winter has been a period of shifts and changes. I needed…

The Necessity of Having Goals

By Articles, Uncategorized

Growing up, it never crossed my mind that having a personal goal would be the thing that would change my life. I’ve written books about it. Instead of using the term “Goal” I said, “Dream.” In living it however, they can be one and the same. Having that goal, that dream, brings out a sense of passion, excitement, power, and,…

Your personal values are what give credence to what you say. They show your true intent. Your values, more than anything else, show the choices you have made about who you want to be.  Most tellingly, your values are proven daily in your actions far more than in your words. No longer surprisingly, I often find that folks try to…

Unlocking Your ‘Why’, Releasing Your ‘Be’ and Dictating Your ‘Do’

By Articles

Emotional Intelligence, and mindfulness prepare you amazingly in living your leadership since by their nature they are each introspective, spiritually driven, and all-encompassing. Many clients I have worked with seemed to go through life simply doing what was presented to them, what they “fell into.” Thankfully, there were also those that were very alive, passionate, and focused, clear on their…

The How & What of Leadership

By Articles

Out of sheer curiosity, I asked numerous people what “Leadership” meant to them. What became obvious, quickly, was that leadership can be defined in any number of ways, depending upon background, leadership experience, and, surprisingly, a person’s willingness to own his or her own power and authority. I was surprised to learn that most respondents considered leadership, authority, and power…
